Ruud shares its engineering and parts bin with Rheem, sold through the same plumbing and water heater dealer network rather than a stand-alone HVAC brand. On the Coastside, where the salt air punishes outdoor equipment faster than anywhere else we cover, having parts that cross over between two brands matters more than the badge on the cabinet.
