Half Moon Bay is the anchor of our Coastside coverage, and that includes Montara, Moss Beach, and El Granada along Highway 1, not just the homes right around downtown. The climate up here is its own thing: fog keeps summer temperatures mild almost all year, so cooling load is light and heating is what actually matters most of the winter and into spring. Ductless indoor unit losing communication in damp conditions. On the ductless Bosch mini-splits I've installed in the older Coastside farmhouses, dampness inside exterior wall cavities where the line set runs can affect the low-voltage communication wire between the indoor and outdoor units over time. When a customer calls about the indoor head not responding, I check that wire and its connections before assuming the board has failed.
