We install and service Ruud across the Bay Area. Diagnostic is $99, credited toward any repair, with a written estimate before any work starts. New installs carry a 10-year parts warranty plus a labor warranty (2 years standard, extended to 10 years with our maintenance plan).

Ruud and Rheem look almost identical. Does that help with repairs?
It does. Ruud is Rheem's sister brand with the same engineering and parts, so components cross between them. Sourcing a control board, igniter, or motor is usually quick. The tradeoff is that Ruud sells through plumbing and HVAC channels rather than a wide dealer network, so you want an installer who actually stocks the family's parts.

Why would I pick Ruud over a premium brand on a large home?
Ruud is the value play. You get reliable, repairable equipment with parts that cross with Rheem, which matters when a 5,000-square-foot home runs two systems. What you give up versus Carrier Infinity or Daikin is the fine-grained communicating zoning and app control. If you want that level of control across the house, we'll quote the premium line instead.

What does a Ruud install cost cover, and what about diagnostics?
Our diagnostic visit is $99, credited toward the repair. A new Ruud system install carries a 10-year parts warranty, with labor at 2 years standard (10 years on our maintenance plan); a repair carries 1 year. We don't quote rebate dollar amounts blind, since programs change, but we check current eligibility and put real numbers, including any duct-retrofit tradeoff, on the written estimate.

What does the diagnostic cost if my Ruud furnace stops heating?
It's $99, and we credit it toward the repair with us. You get a written explanation of what's actually wrong before any work starts.
