Gree is one of the largest HVAC manufacturers in the world, and its own-brand mini-splits are the value option beneath Mitsubishi and Daikin. San Carlos has two distinct housing patterns: the flat blocks of 1940s and 50s bungalows near downtown and Laurel Street, and the steeper hillside streets above Alameda de las Pulgas where homes were built with shallow attics that leave little room for ductwork.
