Gree in Foster City
Foster City was built out as a planned waterfront community starting in the 1960s, and most of what we service is a condo or a townhome, not a standalone house with room to spread equipment around. Before we mount an outdoor unit on a patio, a balcony rail, or a shared wall, we check what the HOA allows for placement and screening. Some associations here are particular about anything visible from the lagoon side or the street, so that's a call I make before the install date, not after.
The condo and townhome scale actually plays in Gree's favor. Most units only need one or two zones, not a whole-house multi-zone system, so the gap between Gree and the premium brands matters less here than it does on a bigger property. A single Gree head sized to a living room or a primary bedroom covers what a small unit actually needs, at a lower price than Mitsubishi or Daikin for the same single zone. Space is the other constraint. A lot of these units don't have anywhere to run a line set except through a tight wall cavity shared with a neighboring unit, so the install has to be planned around what's actually behind the drywall.
We're part of the ADRIUM Service Solutions family, CSLB #1136642, EPA 608 certified for refrigerant work. The $99 diagnostic is credited toward the repair, and you get a written quote before anything starts. Call (925) 999-4095.
Gree work we do in Foster City
HOA-compliant outdoor unit placement. Before we mount anything on a Foster City condo or townhome, we check the association's rules on what can go where, especially on units visible from the lagoon walkways or the street. A Gree outdoor unit is compact enough to fit most approved placements, and getting that sign-off before the install date avoids a redo later.
Line set routing through shared wall cavities. A lot of these units share a wall with the one next door, and there isn't always a clean path from the indoor head to an approved outdoor location. We map the route through the wall cavity before we quote the job, since that's what actually determines whether the install is straightforward or a longer day.
Condensate drainage onto a shared balcony or the unit below. On a balcony-mounted install, a condensate line that isn't sloped and terminated correctly can drip onto a shared walkway or, worse, the patio of the unit below. We route the drain to a proper termination point and test it under a running load before we call the job finished.
