Problem
This Goodman air conditioner in Dublin, CA, wasn’t working because its contactor had failed.
Diagnostics
The photos show the outdoor unit with its electrical compartment open. There is also a close view of the removed contactor held beside the unit.
Solution
We replaced the failed contactor. Although a capacitor is visible in the photos, this repair was the contactor replacement.
Result
The failed contactor has been replaced. Leave the electrical compartment closed if your AC stops working; describe the symptoms when arranging a service visit.
