Maytag HVAC is not the appliance maker most people know. The furnaces, air conditioners, and heat pumps under that name come from Nortek under license, the same parent behind Broan, and select models carry a 12-year parts warranty, longer than most of the ducted field. That is a real strength, just not one that fits every zone on a Portola Valley property.
