Nest error and damaged AC wiring in Clayton
Problem: A Nest thermostat error brought us to this home in Clayton. The air-conditioning equipment was Rheem.
Diagnostics: We found a damaged communication wire and checked the system’s pressure and performance. Outside, dust and debris were caught behind the grilles of the two outdoor units. We recommended a deep cleaning for both.
Solution: We repaired the damaged wire. The outdoor-unit cleaning was a separate recommendation for later work.
Result: The system works again after the wiring repair. If your Nest displays an error, save a photo of the message for the technician before clearing it. We came back on October 8 for the coil cleaning: see the before and after.
