Why would you put York in instead of the premium brand on the main system?

Often we wouldn't. If you want the top modulation and the longest warranty on your primary living zone, we'll spec Carrier, Daikin, or Lennox and say why. York's value is on a secondary system or a budget-conscious replacement where mid-market ducted equipment with easy parts is the right call. We put both options on the estimate and let the numbers decide.

What warranty comes with a new York install?

Our new-install warranty is 10 years parts and 10 years labor (2 yr standard, 10 yr with our maintenance plan) on the systems we put in. York's own parts coverage depends on registration, which we handle at install. On a repair, the workmanship warranty is one year. A diagnostic visit is $99, credited toward the repair.

My York furnace clicks and tries to light but nothing happens. What is that?

That is usually the hot-surface igniter or the control board not sensing a proven flame, both common failure points on York furnaces once they pass the 15-year mark. We diagnose which one it is for the $99 fee, credited toward the repair.

Should I get York or wait and do ductless?

Depends entirely on whether you have ducts. If your home already has central forced-air in decent shape, a York replacement is the cheaper, faster path. If you'd be running ducts from scratch, that money is better spent on a ductless mini-split, and we don't install York for ductless work. We'll look at your actual setup and tell you which side you're on.
