Why would I put a cheaper Payne in instead of matching my Carrier system?
On a small standalone zone like a pool house, you usually should not bother matching the premium main system. A basic Payne is fine there and the parts cross with your Carrier anyway. On the main house, we steer away from Payne because single-stage equipment cannot hold even temperatures across a large multi-zone home. We will show you both on the estimate and explain the tradeoff.
