If Comfort-Aire is cheaper, why not use it for my dual-zone system too?
On a large home you keep for years, the dual-zone system is a long-term investment, and Comfort-Aire's thinner parts and dealer network makes future service slower. Premium variable-speed gear runs more efficiently across this footprint and is backed deeper. We reserve Comfort-Aire for single supplemental rooms where lower upfront cost is the right call, and we show you both options.

What does it cost to add a ductless head for a hot room versus upsizing the whole system?
We don't quote dollars without seeing the home, but the principle holds: a single value ductless head for one problem room is typically far less than re-engineering and upsizing the central dual-zone system. We re-run the load calc on your current floor plan, then put both approaches on the written estimate so you can weigh the supplemental head against the bigger fix.

What does a single-zone ductless install run, roughly?
We do not quote a flat number sight unseen. Line-set length, electrical, and wall routing all move the price. Our diagnostic visit is $99, credited toward the repair. New installs carry a 10-year parts warranty, with labor at 2 years standard (10 years on our maintenance plan); repairs carry one year.

Does a septic or well setup on my property change the Comfort-Aire install?
Not directly. A ductless system does not tie into plumbing, so a septic or well setup on the outer roads does not change the install itself. It can change where we route the condensate line and where the outdoor unit sits relative to a leach field, and we walk the property for that before we quote it.
